FAQ

Common questions

Do you host anything?

No. CloudTurtles sells no hosting, no licences and no hardware. We design, move, protect and document platforms that you own or rent from a provider of your choice, so the advice has no platform margin in it.

Our VMware renewal has jumped. Where do we start?

Count what you run, then price four routes: stay on VCF or VVF, move to a hosted VMware provider, re-platform onto Hyper-V, Proxmox or Nutanix, or move workloads to Azure or AWS. The VMware Renewal Decision assessment does exactly this in two to three weeks.

Our cloud provider has left the VMware programme. Can you move us?

Yes. Moving tenancies out of a closing Cloud Director platform, to another provider, your own hardware or Azure, is work we have done from the provider side. We plan it in waves with replication seeded ahead of each cutover.

Who will actually do the work?

The engineer who scopes it. Huseyin Kartal leads every engagement himself and brings in named specialists only where you agree to it.

Do you offer 24/7 support?

Not at launch, and we will not pretend to. Retained support covers UK business hours with agreed response targets. For round-the-clock monitoring we can help you choose and hand over to a provider who runs a real night shift.

How are engagements priced?

Assessments are fixed price and fixed scope, agreed before we start. Projects are quoted from the assessment. Retained support is a monthly fee for a set number of hours.
